In a remote, God-fearing island community, a child is murdered. Psychologist Jane is tasked with interrogating 15-year-old Dorothy Mills, who is accused of the crime. In the first session, Dorothy states that she can't remember anything. But then, the pale blonde, eerie girl speaks in an altered voice. And Jane has to wonder if Dorothy is merely suffering from a personality disorder - or if she is indeed a mouthpiece into the realm of the dead, as the locals claim...
